My Project

Many of my students are coping with severe trauma, and I want them to enter a safe haven when they walk into my classroom. I’d love to create and maintain a space where they can have this and engage them in learning the skills necessary to ensure they thrive. I see how students respond to cushy, comfy beanbag chairs. I also see them reference their name tags when completing assignments, utilizing all they have to offer, besides the correct spelling of their names. Most students in our building have trouble with restlessness and fighting, and the chair bands have proven successful in the past. We just need more this year. There is no gift too small. Thank you!
