We Don't Slack, Just In Need of A Snack

My Project

My students are special for many reasons, allow me to share a few. First, they come to school ready to work and to perform. Secondly, they come from a variety of nationalities and cultures, which brings various diverse opportunities for learning to our classroom. Lastly, the needs of my students differ not just academic, but emotional and physical needs. These needs enhances our awareness and empathy for each other. Sixth grade students have a significance need in common, after eating lunch so early, they are hungry before the end of the school day.

This project is to provide my students with a pm healthy snack to help them stay engaged and focused on their class work until the end of the school day.

I have students who play sports, go to tutoring and/or have long rides on the bus. A nutritious snack would help sustain their energy during their last block of the day.
