Everyone remembers reading Shakespeare in school. We all suffered through Romeo and Juliet or Hamlet, but I want my students to read A Midsummer Night's Dream. Most students will appreciate the humor Shakespeare uses and will appreciate Puck and his mischievous ways.
Through reading a No Fear Shakespeare version, my students will be confident in knowing what's going on in the play.
They will not have to guess what a word means or what is taking place. I have found students actually enjoy Shakespeare when it is presented in this manner.
