This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The Virtual Reality Headset will help my students struggling with reading comprehension. With headsets, for example, the kids can be completely immersed in an environment or a subject that we are reading about. This will not only improve attention but it will help to solidify and make concrete abstract concepts students are taught regularly. The glasses will enable students to participate and experience things most of us will never get to experience, such as scuba diving in the deep trenches of the oceans or exploring the space station miles and miles in outer space!
My goal is to expose my students to new technologies and ways of learning while working on grade-level reading skills.
My kids are so special because they don't ask for much and they are so grateful for the little they receive. They are hard-working kids that too often get passed on.
