Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students will use the class mail center to write cards and letters to each other. Students will use the materials to write their letters. they will use the stamps as pretend postage and the plastic envelopes to seal the letters and cards they are sending to their classmates. Students will use the mailbox to send their letters. A student will be chosen to sort the mail and another will role-play being a mail carrier and deliver the mail to its intended recipient.

By donating to this project my students will not only learn how to compose cards and letters but how important postal workers are to the community.

Postal workers will be chosen monthly from the students that show responsibility within the class. This project will make students want to write to their friends. I will also write to my students on a weekly basis to encourage them to read and write. They will want to be able to deliver and receive cards and letters from each of their friends. I will also encourage their former teachers to send them letters as well. This project will truly Deliver Education to my class.
