My Students

I am a kindergarten teacher at a Title I school in North Carolina.

My students are loveable, hardworking, and energetic.

While they have enjoyed remote learning, they are eager to return to school to begin in-person learning.

All of my students receive free lunch, and some even participate in the weekend food bag program.

Most of my students live in public housing and face many challenges in their neighborhoods. That is why I would like to give them positive experiences inside and outside the classroom that would have a lasting impact on their lives.

My Project

The economic hardship of COVID-19 has affected many of my scholars' parents. They are unable to provide their scholar with individual learning materials such as glue sticks, pencils, crayons, writing journals, and dry erase markers when we return to school in January. The materials and supplies that I am requesting for my scholars will allow them to have their own set of materials because they are unable to share with their classmates due to COVID-19.

Due to social distancing, scholars will not be permitted to move about freely to get materials they may need, so the At Your Seat Storage Sack will allow my scholars to store all their materials at their seats.
