We Can Save the Planet! Project-Based Learning for Young Minds

My Project

First graders may be small in size, but they have some very big questions! They are curious about how we can help animals and plants survive our changing climate, how different cultures compare, where our garbage goes, and how we can engineer solutions to protect people during natural disasters.

Our goal is to provide age-appropriate resources that foster a passion for helping our local community and planet Earth become a healthy, safe, and happy place for everyone.

Through project-based learning, we aim to make these challenging subjects engaging by connecting classroom learning with real-world problems and student interests. Children choose projects that allow them to explore complex questions, demonstrating their understanding through displays or presentations for their class. Project-based learning enhances essential skills for success, including critical thinking, collaboration, creativity, and self-management.

Your generous donation will help us purchase a child-size bookshelf for independent research with space for front-facing books that encourage exploration. Additionally, leaf-shaped floor cushions will create a cozy space for collaboration with classmates.

Thank you for being an essential part of our learning journey!
