My Students

I teach twenty-six wonderful fourth graders who are beaming with promise. This class is made up of many children who are second language learners. These children in particular really benefit from using their district-issued chromebooks to assist them as they acquire English. The problem is, they don’t have headphones to use. This makes it really difficult for the class to use anything that has sound. I’m sure you can imagine how distracting sound coming from a class set of laptops can be!

These children are fearless when it comes to technology and, as children of the 21st century, they need to be prepared to use a variety of tools to engage their world, and headphones shouldn’t be the stumbling block!

My Project

Our district provides chromebooks, but without headphones the classroom turns into a jumbled mess of sound.
