it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Technology is a big part of school nowadays, and even the youngest learners are on computer programs daily to enhance their learning. Kindergarten students in my state take state standardized tests three times a year on computers, as well as monthly reading and math tests. As kindergarten students, they are still developing focus and attention skills, and it is not always easy to concentrate on their computer. In order to help with the focus, headphones are a must for every student.
By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase student attention and focus, you will ultimately help to increase their academic achievement.
With all students equipped with headphones, they can focus on the important information on the computer without distractions from around the classroom.
I teach in a Title 1 school, with 95% of students living at or below the poverty line. Something as simple as headphones are out of reach for many of my families. This one little thing will help students increase their attention, build their literacy and math skills on the computer, and develop computer literacy skills that will help them in the future.
