I teach a group of highly motivated and diverse learners at a Title I elementary school. We are located in a town with strong community connections and traditions. My class consists of 18 boys and girls from a variety of backgrounds. My scholars are enrichment students. This means I prepare curriculum for them that includes problem solving skills and often extends beyond 2nd grade standards.
No matter the challenge, my scholars always rise to the occasion.
My Project
Scholars in my classroom will be participating in live virtual lessons throughout the school day from the safety of their homes. I will be using a variety of technological tools to present fun and engaging content for my scholars.
Students will be provided with the technology they need, but do not have access to the hands on materials that they would get to use in a typical classroom setting.
My goal is to provide every student with a dry erase board, eraser, and at least two markers to participate in live distance activities.
Additionally, I am requesting one stand-up and one desktop white board for usage in my home to demonstrate skills on live or pre-recorded lessons. These are the type of resources I would use in my typical classroom but will not have access to at home.
