We Can Finally See! Oh My!

My students need an amazing document camera.

My team of students and I are really looking forward to the use of this amazing document camera. I have a very motivated community of 4th grade learners in the inner city, and they deserve to be able to see what I am modeling for them!

Everything we do in class, for reading, writing, math and science we use our overhead projector. My overhead is an older model and cannot produce a nice and clear imagine for my students. They love learning, but I hear all the time, Ms. W! We can't see what you wrote! I model everything I do for them, and I make learning fun, using any type of demonstration, or activity to help them become life long learners. With a document camera, they would be able to see everything I want to show them, but just aren't able to right now using an overhead projector.

I know how much my students love new technology, and I know that they would be so excited to see how I use a variety of colors, and other mediums to model for them how to do something. Also, how amazing would it be during writing, reading or math to take something that they wrote well, or did the math problem perfectly, and just put it under the camera so they can see what their classmates were able to do! They can use what they see and then do it themselves. Most students are auditory, visual, and kinesthetic learners. Having this document camera will allow my student to learn in any way they need, but most importantly, their visual aid will be much improved!

Please help out our 4th grade room of learners! They love learning in any way possible and are such an appreciative bunch of students who describe themselves as a community. I know that they already appreciate all of the resources we already have, but this document camera would complete our classroom. Thank you.
