My Students

The elementary school that I work at is such a special place! Our students come to school each day ready to take on another day of learning. I am proud to say that every staff member at my school strives to provide the best place to learn for our students.

My goal is to create a school and classroom environment that is inviting, engaging, meaningful and full of passion!

My classroom is a safe place where learning is fun but adds meaning to their lives.

My students are the most enthusiastic group of students I have had yet. Each and every one of them brings something unique to our classroom. Thanks to your donations, I will continue to be able to do whatever I can to help my students succeed and move on to be successful members of society!

My Project

Our school will be participating in remote learning this fall. The teachers at our school are hard at work putting together the best possible resources for our students to use during this trying time. This funds from this project will go towards buying accounts on IXL.com for each student, kindergarten through fifth grade, at my school.

IXL is a data driven student friendly skill based practice website that will enhance our students' online learning experience.

It provides in the moment feedback to students based on their work that includes explanations to help students understand their mistakes. This project will not only pay for our students' accounts, but it also includes professional development courses on how to best utilize this program in the classroom. This program provides immediate feedback for the teachers that can be used to make better instructional choices. One of my favorite aspects of this program is that students can access the work from any grade level. This means that students that need to work on skills from previous years or jump ahead a year have the ability to do so. With everything that happened during our students' learning at the end of last year, this additional tool will be great for teachers to use in their math, language arts, science, and social studies instruction. Thank you in advance for your donations that bring us closer to bringing this program into our school.
