We Can Create (Cricut) Earth Projects

My Students

My sixth-grade students struggle with learning on a daily basis. Integrating technology will give my students the motivation and confidence needed to build the desire to learn.

I teach in a large, diverse K-8 high poverty, high crime area school in Pennsylvania.

100% of the children are eligible for free breakfast and lunch. The children come to school eager to learn. They are from various living situations, such as single parents, foster homes, or extended family living. Most don't have Internet access or computers at home to practice skills taught in school. They have different abilities and I strive to build their confidence in what they can do, not emphasize what they can't do.

My students learn best by being active participants in their own learning. Sometimes they feel frustrated. Please give them a chance to engage in their education.

My Project

This Cricut machine, cartridges, and other accessories will allow my students to create presentations and bulletin boards based on their research on environmental science, recycling, and earth. They have been working very hard on this STEAM project of finding new ways to recycle and conserve our Earth's natural resources. Part of the project is to create a visual representation of their proposal. For those students who struggle artistically, this amazing tool will help them express themselves in creative and artistic ways. They will present their creations to younger buddy classes.

Our grade level is looking for creative ways to decorate and create projects and bulletin boards about our wonderful earth.

We want to promote recycling and good habits to help preserve our own environment.

Creating these projects and bulletin boards will be an amazing way to end the school year. The students will be able to create whatever they can dream up and it will allow their creativity to shine through.
