it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our high school is situated in a lower socio-economic area, and we struggle with a lack of resources to help them with their various needs, specifically their mental health. Students in our area, and across the country are struggling with their mental health, and their academic success reflects that struggle. We want to turn that around and help them change their mindset to increase positivity, resilience, and kindness. Our hope is that they will use these new skills to create positive change on our campus, and we know that by helping them grown in one area, the impact will spread across additional areas, and spread through our community.
