This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are wild for the wacky stories of The Wayside Series!
My fabulous fourth graders come from a high need area of New York City.
They come to school each and every day eager to learn. Their love for reading has been bursting at the seams! Unfortunately, our classroom library does not match their excitement in regards to a various book selections. Our wonderful, community oriented school does not have extra money for any supplies aside from the basics like pencils and paper.
My Project
Just like you love meeting with your book clubs my students do too! Nothing beats sharing a deep conversation with peers about the theme, characters and twist and turns of The Wayside Series. Students will engage together in the reading experience, sharing their feelings and thoughts as they grow together as learners.
My fabulous fourth graders love reading and would benefit greatly from reading The Wayside Series in book clubs.
They look forward to working in collaboration with their peers and growing together as learners.
