This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Here fishy fishy... Teaching responsibility is a very important part of a young child life. We can relate to our first pet, for many it was a gold fish (most likely from a carnival or fair)
Many of my children (yes I love them like my own) come from a background that do not allow them to have pets.
These children are kind and loving. I am striving to provide them with a unique and welcoming environment. These children will get to see and learn several state mandated requirements.
My Project
With a class fish tank we will have a vivid living example to teach many many lessons from. Aside from teaching responsibilities and life cycle, I will be able to teach colors of living creatures, "sea" life, as well as likes and differences. A fish tank is an excellent learning tool.
Many of my children have not been exposed to what children of affluence have been exposed to.
Many may have not been to a zoo or beach or a place to see live fish. A fish tank is an excellent way to teach children of this age.
