Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I currently teach in a Title I school. My students come from very diverse backgrounds and range in language abilities. They are full of curiosity and ready to receive as much love and attention as we can give. Many struggle with self regulating. This year, I want to really push our social emotional learning in the classroom.
The wiggle bands and wiggle cushions will help students focus, soothe and relax in class, the magnetic mirrors and feelings poster will help my students with positive self talk and identifying the big emotions they come to class with during our morning meeting check in.
All of this combined helps them self regulate in our learning community.
