This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are so diverse and interesting that to describe them is really hard. Students come from a variety of different economic backgrounds. Our school is also one of the most ethnically diverse schools in Washington. Students speak a multitude of languages including English, Spanish, Somali, Vietnamese, etc. As diverse as our students are economically and culturally, they are diverse in their academics.
My students walk into our classroom everyday full of life, ready to learn and excited for what is in store for them that day.
I want them to know I believe in them and they can do anything.
My Project
We are almost at the end of the year, just a few more months away. We have used almost every class supply available and beyond that. Tools are necessary at this moment in order to complete our year.
We are rock stars in need of supplies to keep playing our music through our work and be successful when we complete our evaluations.
I want my students to have the best supplies possible to complete our school year mission of being better scholars and citizens. It might sound simple but it means the world to my students being able to do a great work at school.
We need pencils to keep practicing and improve our writing and math skills. Erasers help us understand what we say to ourselves everyday that "mistakes are proof that you are trying". We also love art and creating thing in class, so markers will be awesome plus pencils and scissors, in order to work individually instead of waiting for others to finish.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
