My Students
My PreK scholars are amazing! They are the only full day class in our school. They are eager to learn and love being in school. Our school is very diverse and takes pride in welcoming and engaging all scholars and families. We are committed to creating a school where kids feel safe, loved, and motivated.
As a school, we take pride in creating an environment where we celebrate diversity, discuss and study racial equity, and "inspire all scholars to reach high levels of social and academic achievement, and to become future leaders through a collaborative system of support" (our school's mission statement).
My Project
My scholars are very eager to learn. We learn many early reading skills in Pre-K; letters and sounds, rhyming, alliteration etc. My scholars are also ready for new leveled guided reading books. With these books, we will be able to practice our reading skills in small groups.
My scholars will love having developmentally appropriate books to practice independent as well as guided reading!
We are looking forward to a new set of books to get us excited about being readers. Our goal is to have all of scholars kindergarten ready. New, leveled books, will help us to get one step closer to our goal!
