My Project

To learn, children and adolescents need to feel safe and supported. Without these conditions, the mind reverts to a focus on survival. Educators in high-performing, high-poverty schools have long recognized the critical importance of providing a healthy, safe, and supportive classroom and school environment.

It is my goal to have each child feel safe and comfortable while they are in my classroom.

I am hoping to make my classroom feel as homey as possible. My students will succeed if they are comfortable. Bulletin boards where the students can display their art, and most cherished schoolwork will help make them proud of themselves. New supplies of pocket calendars, hall passes, rotation traffic light and more are desperately needed.
