My students need and easier way to learn coding with two Osmo gaming systems. Coding helps with creative thinking. It will also help my students with problem solving, persistence, collaboration, and communication.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My classroom is the Computer Lab where I help kids learn technology, learn math facts, learn how to read, and learn about the world. I see all 475 students twice a week for a total of 90mins per student. Once during specials and on every Friday we have "S T E A M" with each grade level. "S T E A M" is where we teach hands on learning about Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math.
Our students live in a rural area where 60% of our students are on free or reduce lunches.
We also have a program here that is call Backpack of love that provides students bags of food to eat over the weekend and for holidays. No matter how home life is our students come to school excited to explore new things.
My Project
Coding teaches logic skills and problem solving, and it helps kids succeed in an increasingly digital world. With Osmo, coding is approachable, creative, and fun. Just snap physical blocks together to create sequences of commands and easily learn computer programming fundamentals.
As you can see Osmo is not just for coding, it can be use for writing, phonics, reading, vocabulary, math, geography, and tons more.
The students can have fun while learning!
Students will use these in centers and be able to learn all kinds of neat stuff like art, music and other exciting adventures. They might not even know that it is school work!
