We Are Mighty, Like Freak the Mighty!

My students need a class set of the wonderful book Freak the Mighty.

My Students

My students are incredible. I could never describe them in one word. They are students that come from low-income families and have a wide range of special needs.

These students never let their disability stop them from reaching their goals.

They work hard, harder than an average student. We have a lot of fun together and they truly are "my kids." They make me want to be a better teacher every day and I am always looking for ways to help them.

My Project

Best friends are really important, especially to children in middle school. Appearances are also extremely important. So what happens when your best friend is some one who looks different from everyone else?

Freak the Mighty is an extraordinary story about two friends who beat the odds and form an amazing bond and we need to read this story!

My class needs a class set of this amazing book so we can read the story together in book clubs. Right now we only have one copy and it is very hard for my students to follow along. Please help us get a class set of this amazing book.
