We seriously have some of the best students in our small-town elementary school.
My students are always ready to try something new and because of that, I want to be a better teacher every day.
I want to grow with them!
Our school includes over sixty percent free or reduced-price lunch recipients. Together our community, parents, and staff work to get us everything we need. I am so grateful to have wonderful people like you also partnering with us to help get our students everything they so deserve.
Although this year may look a little different whether in person, online, or a mix of both, I know we'll build our classroom community and become the family we always are.
I am teaching four sections of STEM classes at four different grade levels in our middle school. My classes are STEM, Robotics, Digital Applications, and Pre-engineering design. I am loving all the unique learning that is happening.
My Project
My pre-engineering class has already started coding, working with robots, building 3D designs, creating vinyl projects, and working with many other digital tools.
Design is a universal language where students can be as creative as they would like.
Currently we have one 3D printer in our classroom. It is over seven years old and was graciously funded through DonorsChoose. It has worked wonderfully over the years, from my six years in 3rd grade to my new adventure in Middle School STEM. It however has limitations that are hard with 40 students. We can't wait to be able to directly 3D print from our Chromebooks. My students are busy creating such unique designs and we can't get them printed fast enough from one device.
These new 3D printers would have the classroom software for all students and have the capability to directly print. What a world this would open up! I can't wait to see how this inspires them to keep designing and creating!
Thank you for investing in my classroom and my students!
