Happy Hopper Land is more than just a typical 1st grade classroom! It is where dreams are explored and realized. The students in Happy Hopper Land enjoying learning in new and innovative ways. Using the iPad Mini will help the students know they are smart, intelligent and brilliant!
My students are a diverse group from all walks of life, cultures and backgrounds.
They are committed to learning all they can, anyway they can. My classroom is not the traditional desks in rows, teacher doing most of the talking. When you walk in Happy Hopper Land, you walk into a world of creativity and students finding answers together. They learn from each other.
My school is a Title I school that serves students who are academically gifted and students who are zoned to the neighborhood. The staff at my school believes all students have the capability of learning. We push all students to achieve academic success.
My Project
We have several district initiatives that are required for us to use. We have lack of technology devices that allow us to use these programs efficiently. My students would be able to use the iPad Mini to complete the necessary programs for our district. These programs are used for remediation and enrichment. We have seen progress made by students who use the programs on a consistent basis.
The students in Happy Hopper Land will show mastery on the district initiatives because they are able to work on the programs.
The donations contributed to this project will allow us to stay on target with the district and the school.
