Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My classroom is a family of learners! I teach autistic and life skills support students with varying abilities, challenges and home environments. We learn best through multimodal sensory play and love to be outside! With your help, I hope to give my students the tools they need to be more independent during our outdoor learning stations.
As a special education teacher, I must be creative in how I reach and engage my amazing students.
Some require more tactile activities; others are ready to become more independent in basic tasks in our daily routine. Reusable stickers books and magnetic puzzles are highly motivating and will help promote independence during outside station time. I am truly excited to provide safe equipment like the pencil sharpener and crayon sharpener so my students can independently take care of their supplies.
