This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I have the pleasure of working in the BEST school in our country. This year I have 17 beautiful Pre-K students. My students are creative, eager to learn and full of excitement. They love hands-on activities that engage their creativity and quest for knowledge. They work hard every day to meet expectations, and they meet the challenge because of their passion and interest to learn about how and why things are. They have inspired me to go beyond any limits. My students are eager to take reading and math to the next level by integrating technology and literacy into their classroom centers!
My Project
Our students are little and still learning about self-awareness and having body control. We are in need of Sit Spots for our rug which will help our students stay focused during center time and maintain space as well as keep order during our Whole Group Instruction time at the carpet, Sit Spots help students by proving a visual as to where they need to sit and their space on the carpet. They also encourage students to sit and listen to the lesson by visually stimulating students to cover their spaces with their bodies by sitting over them in order to cover their name.
Our Art Center also needs a little restocking so, we are also asking for paint in order to make a few holiday crafts in addition to the Sit Spots for Carpet Time.
