Help me give my students become mathematicians. A strong foundation in math is key to success in future years. Math can be so abstract to intensive learners. Having manipulatives makes learning fun and understandable.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
When my project gets fully funded, the materials go straight into the hands of students. We work with peers and in small groups using hands-on materials to make subjects come to life! I have seen years of growth in only months by being able to manipulate physically what they are learning. Learning math is a life skill that will help them with their financial literacy. Students will learn how digits make numbers like letters make words. Students will learn place value and number sense. With your help, together we can make a difference!
