We Are Diverse!

Help me give my students tools to help us learn about our emotions and be excited about the diversity in our classroom.

My Project

I have requested tools and materials that will help me provide engaging Social Studies lessons, focusing on both "Diversity" and "Emotional Wellness."

My students will love the "Multicultural Stories Library," "Celebrating Diversity," "Moods and Emotions," "Learning to Get Along", and The "You are Extraordinary" book sets... We will use the emotions mirrors and super-safe mirrors to learn about our emotions, as well as enhance our phonics and phonemic awareness instructions by learning how our mouths make certain sounds.

We will add the emotions mirrors, Calm Down Cubes, and Classroom Calming Kit to our "Calm Down Corner."

The Teachers Pay Teachers gift certificates will allow me to find and purchase lessons and posters to help us with this instruction.

My students love to learn, but we are struggling with some social skills. Teaching them about wellness, kindness, and diversity will help us be more compassionate and appreciative of our differences. I'm excited to build a safer and more accepting environment in our class!
