My Students

No walls... No limits... That is the motto of our school since we have no walls! My students live up to this expectation every day and I love watching them thrive in my classroom. I have a diverse classroom of students from countries all across the world including Russia, Pakistan, England, China, India, Columbia and so many more. They love to hear stories and see pictures of each other’s travels around the world and they love sharing stories about their families.

My Project

This DVD series will help students see how children in other countries live. Each DVD focuses on a country and families that live there. My students will learn about the way of life, foods, homes, schools, communities, and daily activities of families from each country.

This will help my students see life outside of our small town and create an understanding for how families are different, yet there are many similarities that can be found all over the world.

This will also help my students who are from other countries explain to their classmates what their home country is like.

I hope that these DVDs will engage students in conversation about traveling and make them more empathetic towards those that are different then they are.
