My Students
My students are an eager group of learners. They recognize that the most important tool for a successful future is knowledge. As such, they work hard every day to reach the goals that not only I have set but those that they have established for themselves.
As members of the Title I community, over 95% opt to partake in receiving free breakfast and lunch.
A selected number also receives help through the weekly bag pack buddy system which provides weekend support for a meal.
Given the context, it is profoundly enlightening that these students continue to possess an abundance of enthusiasm for participation in school related activities. Therefore the onus is on me, their teacher, to provide them with exciting, thought provoking and goal directed learning projects. As such, any help to acquire materials in that vein would be sincerely appreciated.
My Project
In this classroom, students love learning, particularly when they are engaged in projects that allow them to be artistic. The requested Expo, Crayola, and Sharpie markers are meant to keep students motivated as they learn concepts. Through increased opportunities to draw and create models, my students will develop a greater interest in learning and, as a result, they will achieve higher levels of conceptual understanding.
Science lessons usually require students to create models.
As they do so, tape is a resource that is always used and is in limited supply. I'm requesting Quill and glossy and duck tapes. We also need a Bostitch electric pencil sharpener.
Donating to this project will ensure the continuation of hands-on, creative and student-driven learning. Choosing to donate to this project means that you are providing a group of excited learners more opportunities to be actively involved in the learning processes.
A significant portion of daily instructional activities require students to use dry erase markers. During instruction, students use the dry erase markers when they privately respond to questions on a personal white board. They also use these on a daily basis as they engage in collaborative work such as problem solving. Supporting this project means that you are giving students more opportunity to participate though a medium that is exciting to them. They simply love using dry erase marker to work!
Most students in my classroom do not own a sharpener and are frequently in search of one. On many occasions, students have had to visit another classroom to have their pencil sharpened. By donating towards this project, you are ensuring that my students have immediate and continuous access to a resource that is a necessity.
