My Project
We need some new Montessori math materials in our classroom. I am requesting several highly used math items to replace our current worn-down materials.
One big ticket item requested in this project is the wooden labels for the Montessori bead chains.
Our current labels are made of plastic, and many are missing, making it hard for the children to do their work properly. These beautiful wooden labels will withstand many years of use as the children count and label bead chains.
I am also requesting the multiplication and division bead boards. The children are able to gain a concrete understanding of math equations using these materials. Currently, our bead boards are warped, we have lost most of the beads, and we are missing various parts of the multiplication board materials.
The other requested materials will help children solidify their knowledge of the numbers one through ten. The cut-out numerals and counters will replace our current tattered numbers and counters, and the printed numerals will be used to match the classroom number rods. The unit bead holder will help us to not lose the tiny, single-unit bead.
