My Project
This project request is very important to the literacy indulgence of ELL students who have a variety of interests and come from so many different backgrounds. It is one of my goals to help students to be exposed more to interesting texts with a variety of purposes as well as increase student motivation to read daily without having to be prompted or asked.
I am starting a DEAR (Drop Everything and Read) campaign in my classroom to give students a break from WIDA testing before preparation for TCAP begins.
This will also serve as a way for our classes to discuss topics and work in the four domains of learning a second language: Listening, Speaking, Reading, and Writing as students will be asked to create pictures and text after they have read these texts to and with each other.
