We Are Almost There! Only One More Project Until eSports!
Help me give my students the final pieces needed to get gaming tournaments and eSports up and running!

My Students
My first year of teaching has been an adventure of ups and downs. I was constantly warned away from taking a job in teaching, especially teaching in an under-served, urban school. This fear was worsened when I started reading some statistics that came from my school district. My students have proven all of these accusations wrong. They are bright, energetic, and thoughtful through and through. But what inspires me the most is their passion!
What my students need is a chance to be themselves without the pressure of a classroom environment.
They approached me about creating a video game club. A place where they could hang out, play social games, hold friendly competitions, and build a community around their passions. As the club has grown, my students have felt they can take their gaming to the next level by forming an eSports team or maybe even running a league of their own!
My Project
The support we have received from this community has been truly awe-inspiring! Our students are used to being put on the back burner by the system. The quick and powerful response from this community has helped teach students that they are important, even to strangers on the internet.
We are on our last leg of this project marathon to get eSports started!
We have one system with some games, another system with a larger collection of games almost funded, and a recently funded mifi for access to online gaming!
With this project, I am requesting one last round of games and some accessories to broaden our possibilities. We will be able to practice the competition styles that we are most likely to encounter in the larger online community with these. I just want to thank you all one more time for the incredible support you have given to these projects to help make eSports with the Gaming Club a reality!!!
