My students need an iPad and a case to enhance their learning about multiculturalism.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students need to learn that there is a different world of people outside of their neighborhoods. Teaching them about multiculturalism will help them understand that people may look different but still be the same.
My students are fun and energetic six- and seven-year-olds.
They get excited when the opportunity to do or use something "new" comes along. My students attend school in California and they are considered to be economically challenged and receive free lunch.
My Project
I am requesting an iPad and a case for my class. There are many lessons and stories throughout our school year that allow for teachable moments when students are introduced to different cultures. An iPad would help me enhance those moments by giving me the mobility to show my students clips, pictures and videos of different cultures as a whole group during our carpet time. It will also be a hands-on tool they can use to access the web to learn more about different cultures.
I know that using an iPad will excite my students to learn about multiculturalism, and it's going to give them more of a hands-on experience than looking at picture cards.
Thank you, donors, for giving the gift of your kindness and support. With the iPad, my students will be able to unlock their imaginations and travel the world!
