Help me give my students celebration medals to help build their self-esteem and make them proud of all their hard work while being honored at our last classroom meeting of the school year!
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Do you remember attending an award ceremony and you were anxiously awaiting for your name to be called to receive a special award, but then you were disappointed when your name wasn't called? Or maybe you were sitting there and thought to yourself what is the point in attending this ceremony when you know your name won't be called? The reality is that there are many students that will never receive perfect attendance and honor roll awards.
My students have worked incredibly hard this year and every child needs to be recognized in some way!
Our classroom environment is centered around kindness, collaboration, and teamwork. Throughout the year, my students work hard to achieve their goals both academically and socially. This year my students have been faced with many challenges, but have amazed me in all they have accomplished!
I teach my students to reach for the stars and help them gain self-confidence to rise to any challenge! The end of the year is a time to celebrate success and make students feel empowered to take that momentum to the next grade level.
My students need medals that they can keep that will represent their hard work and achievement this year. Some of the medals will include; Journal Leader Rockstar, Math Genius Award, Reading Specialist, Outstanding Author, and Kindness Star Power Award. Each student will receive at least one medal and will be honored at our very last classroom meeting.
My goal is for my students to beam with pride and feel good about themselves as they walk out the door of our classroom for the very last time. Please help me honor each one of my students in a special way by providing our class with these medals!
