Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are creating their end of year projects and we just ran out of ink. Can you imagine how disappointed they are that they might have to publish their hard colorful work in black and white? They are devastated by the thought of their colorful work being in black and white.
I teach a third grade monolingual class.
Our school is located in a high need, low income community where English is NOT the dominant language of most of our students. My students love it when we use technology to learn new things. Many of our third graders do not have access to a printer or copier at home. They always bring their work to be typed and printed in class.
My Project
We are requesting color and black ink cartridges for our HP color printer. My students will be using this ink cartridges to print out their end of the year final projects. Each student has been working on individual projects about our environment and how they can improve it. They have created very colorful and informative reports. Their project will benefit from being printed in vivid colors. These ink cartridges will allow my students not only to print their projects out as intended but also to realized how the vivid color can make an impact on your presentation.
These ink cartridges will make a difference providing my students with the feeling of accomplishment and achievement.
They will experience success because their project will represent their hard work and will be seen with all the vivid colors as intended by each student. They will be able to keep this report for the rest of their lives and always look back and say " I did this in third grade."
