My Project

These items will help my first-grade students learn to regulate their feelings and develop positive interactions with others in and out of the classroom. When we understand our feelings we can learn to use tools/strategies to manage ourselves and meet goals like doing schoolwork or other tasks, while managing big feelings, and having healthy relationships with others. A Calming Corner in the classroom can help students regulate and calm themselves with sensory activities during quiet break time.

We are all friends in Mrs. Steele's bunch; and friends talk it out and help support each other, no matter what.

These are learned skills and they take real-life practice. Having materials to help us develop essential life skills like Self Awareness, Self- Management, Responsibility, and Social Awareness makes us a better learning community and better human beings. The students of today will be our future tomorrow.
