With technology becoming such an integral part of being a 21st century learner, we need to update our available resources. We are asking for two student iPads to use for research, ebooks, and more. We are also investing in a wireless listening center to promote literacy during independent work time.
We are an urban school in the northwest region of Colorado Public Schools.
We are compiled of an eclectic group of cultures and backgrounds, but when the students walk through our doors, they are all proud students on a voyage through their education. The students in my class are a spirited group of First Graders who are enthusiastic to share their learning and social experiences with anyone who will lend an ear. The majority of these students knew some letters and sounds when they entered kindergarten, but most are now beginning to read and write. And they are not shy about it!
My Project
We are hoping to receive an array of items that will enrich our learning environment and support us as 21st century learners. Much of our supplies will support students in individual learning centers, for example; 2 student iPads, wireless listening center, and book bins. All of these materials will promote literacy in the classroom and allow students access to research databases that will enrich their learning experiences.
This donation will enhance our classroom technology resource and add to our classroom environment.
All of the items will be used directly by students to support their academic achievement!
