My students need a large classroom rug for our group time that allows everyone to have their own defined personal space while allowing room for all students to sit together.
This year my colleague and I are embarking on a new adventure- we are co-teaching our kindergarten classes and operating as one. Our class is comprised of 26 amazing young learners who are full of energy and enthusiasm and love to learn. Our school is located in Verona, WI and we have a wide range of economic, cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
As our group of 26 learners works to become one big happy family, we could really use a large classroom rug that has specific squares for the kids to sit in.
My Project
Since my co-teacher and I are embarking on this journey of co-teaching, we are excited at all the great opportunities that lie ahead for our learners. We love bringing our two classes together as one and it allows for wonderful opportunities in community building as well as learning.
Since we are operating as one big class, group time becomes challenging when we try to all sit in one space together.
Our young learners are still working on learning about personal space and how to be aware of others around them. Getting this rug for our learners would allow all of our students to come together while providing them a defined space to sit in.
