My Project
Adapted physical education is physical education that has been modified so it is appropriate for students with disabilities. Like non-disabled students, students with disabilities can and want to develop their physical and motor skills, learn fundamental motor skills and patterns (e.g., throwing, catching, etc.), and learn about and participate in group games and sports.
The students in my school are fortunate to have a program that is inclusive and strives to meet all students’ unique needs, but we are still in need of specialized equipment to help make our physical education goals a reality!
We are asking for special balls that my students can easily see, hear, and catch. We are also asking for equipment that will make soccer and basketball accessible to students in wheelchairs.
