We All Learn Differently!

Help me give my students different types of seating and writing materials because of the different types of learners in my class.

My Students

I teach fourth grade in a Title I school. My leaders are full of life and always ready to explore and learn. I am a teacher in a low income/high poverty area. Many of my students come from a single parent household and receive free lunch. Because of these challenges, these students do not always have the necessary items they need to succeed in school.

As a teacher, I can not control these students home life, but I do have a say in what students have at school.

My Project

This school year is a very exciting school year. This year, the school that I work for decided to combine with another school! We were all very excited about this change and know that it will greatly benefit our students! I have many students in my class who learn in a very traditional way. They are used to sitting at desks and working independently. However I also have students who learn while moving around the classroom and are constantly moving. I want my class to be inclusive of everyone. This is why I am asking for different types of seating for my class along with different types of writing tools.

Many of my students do not learn their best while sitting at a desk.

Many of my students enjoy sitting on the floor or close to the floor and many times are more engaged in the work that is being given to them. With these materials my students will be able to have different options where they can move around the room, while still working. Please consider donating to make my room inclusive for all my students!
