My Project

Hello! Thank you for taking the time to read and consider this special project. All students matter and learn in different ways.

This project aims to support students with Autism through learning and evaluating in non-traditional ways.

Manipulatives such as wooden shapes and foam letters are great tools to help students learn and to evaluate their academic understanding. For example, I may ask a student to hand me or point to a foam letter on a table rather than reading from a letter chart. These tools help make evaluations more inclusive, interactive, and fun for the student and evaluator.

The snacks, stickers, and awards are all valuable parts of the evaluation process as a means of relationship building, external motivation, and pride. Please consider this project and help support students learning in their unique and wonderful ways!
