This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
The population of students that attend my school are mainly high poverty children. Their parents are predominantly low income, and hard working people. Some of my students live only with their mothers and siblings renting a room in a house. My students are enrolled in the Pre-K For All program at the school that I teach in. I have 18, 4-year-old students. I also have a teacher's assistant. My students are very eager to learn. They come in every day with a smile on their face ready to learn.
My Project
My project will help the students to enhance and develop there science awareness. The animals would enhance my water table, sand table, and science center. We can talk about the different habitats that the animals live in.
The other day I was in the block area with my students and we didn't have vehicles for our community that we were building together.
So the construction vehicles, fire engines and police vehicles will help them imagine they are building a community. The airplane will be great too since we live so close to the airport.
