This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

In our classroom, we have a group of incredibly bright and eager students. They come to school each day ready to learn, their eyes sparkling with curiosity and dreams. However, our reality is one where resources are scarce, and every little bit we have is a treasure. Our school, like many Title I schools, battles against the constraints of limited funding and resources, striving to provide the best for our students against all odds.

One of our most pressing needs currently is for functional Apple chargers and additional charging outlets.

Our existing chargers are worn and failing, with many only half-working. It breaks my heart to see the disappointment in my students' eyes when they can't use their devices for learning because we don't have enough working chargers or outlets. The frustration they feel when a device powers down mid-lesson is palpable, and it's a barrier to their learning that they, in their youthful innocence, should not have to face.

Moreover, as our class size has grown, the challenge has become even more daunting. We find ourselves in dire need of an electric tower and extension cords to create a charging station that can cater to all our students. This need may seem small in the grand scheme of things, but in our world, it's a hurdle that stands between our students and their right to a seamless, uninterrupted education.

Your support in funding these essential items would be more than just a donation; it would be a beacon of hope, a testament to the belief that every child, regardless of their socioeconomic background, deserves equal access to education and the tools necessary for learning.
