This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I'm lucky enough to have a class that absolutely loves cucumbers, tomatoes, green beans, and a variety of other fruits and veggies. Our class is eager to learn more about where food comes from and how we can make a positive impact on the Earth by planting and harvesting our own crops. I aim to foster that healthy relationship with food and nature as much as possible.

With your donations, we will start our school's first Veggie/Fruit Garden.

Our school site has little to no shade, soil, or gardening resources. To give our Garden Project a fighting chance, we'd need a greenhouse, soil and tools.

Our next science unit is on Matter & Energy in Plants, which directly aligns with this project. Your donations will not only put student learning to the test, but it'll provide them with real world skills and knowledge that'll positively impact the rest of their lives. Your support will make all the difference. Let's water these seedlings!
