This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

As a teacher in a low-income/high poverty school district, my students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom.

I am looking to provide my students with a creative, meaningful, and positive art experiences.

I know the adversity my students face because I faced some of the same problems when I was younger. And if they can come to my class and forget about all the problems for just a little while, then I know I'm doing something right.

My Project

The art supplies I am asking for are liquid watercolors, watercolor brushes, watercolor paper and pipettes. All essential tools for our watercolor unit this semester. Each student will be creating a sea creature with a view of a famous landmark inside of the animal.

My students will be taught the many techniques that involve watercolor, while also learning how to draw an animal underwater.

My students are amazing hard workers and I can’t wait for them to experience the joy of learning a new art medium. They will get to expand their imagination and creativity with this lesson.
