Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I teach 2nd grade at a school that has many low-income and English language learning students. My class is full of students who love to learn and love projects!
We love art in 2nd grade! Through a previous proposal, I was able to do water coloring with my classes the past two years. Students really enjoy this type of art because it is a rare and fun way to explore their talents. It is also a good way to incorporate other standards. We often illustrate our science and social studies topics. Unfortunately, our supplies are running very low!
We need some more watercolor paints and paper to restock our shelves. The paints that we have are running out quickly, and we are down to our last pack of paper. Without these supplies, this great art will never be created.
Your help can allow these students the chance to express their creativity in a fun, interesting way. With your generosity, we will be making masterpieces for the rest of the school year.
