Water, Water Everywhere!Let's Drink It!

My students need water bottles at their desks. Students will naturally drink water if it is provided. Being hydrated is very important. This project will serve 60 kindergartners and are reusable over a few years.

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are special because many of them are coming to school for the very first time.This means that they are ready to build a foundation for good habits.

Our school is in the neighborhood we live in.

Most of my students are newcomers to the country the majority of them are English Language Learners.They bring a wealth of cultural diversity to shape our beautiful community.

All students receive Free Lunch and most families struggle to provide the healthiest life style possible for their children.Our school sponsors a Food Bank once a week to help families make ends meet. The Food Bank offers many fresh fruits and vegetables. I want to help my students learn about nutrition, good food choices, and good hydration.

My Project

My project is about Hydration, Health, and Good Habits. First I want my students to be hydrated! This is because good hydration promotes all cells in the body. Staying hydrated will assure that students feel their best all day.

Drinking water everyday helps our bodies eliminate toxins in the blood.

It is very important that students and adults get into the good habit of drinking water! Especially in place of sugary drinks.

If my students have water bottles on their desks they will drink water all day!! When students drink out of the water fountain they are exposed to germs. Water bottles are a way to promote good health for all of my students. In addition students learn to take care of and fill their own water bottles. When students feel their best they are great learners!
