My project needs hatching kits, books, and larve to create butterfly and pray mantis habitats.
FULLY FUNDED! Mrs. C.'s classroom raised $398
This project is fully funded
Hello! I am a third grade teacher in an Indianapolis Public School. I am in an old science lab room due to the high student enrollment. We have lots of room for experiments and activities. My students love living science. They love seeing the living things up close.
For this reason, I am requesting the materials needed to have butterfly and pray mantis habitats this year. We need the nurseries and butterfly garden. We also need the starter eggs/larvae. I have also requested books and posters so that the students can look up information as questions arise. You don't see pray mantises very often these days. I can remember as a child that they were everywhere. I would like the students to watch these creatures and see all of the needs they have for survival. I know my students will be elated at they watch the butterflies and baby pray mantises pop out of their casings.
Any help that you would be able to provide for my third graders will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you so much for you dedication to the public schools.
