This project is fully funded

I am an ESL teacher in a high poverty area. I start my mornings at the middle school where I work with grades 6-8, and finish out my day at elementary, where I work with grades 4 and 5.

The furniture I was given for my elementary classroom is falling apart! There is no computer table for my students to use, the floor is large and dirty looking even when it is clean, and there is very little storage for myself or my students. The classroom is not very comfortable and I believe it makes a difference!

I feel that a well furnished, colorful, and comfortable classroom is essential for creating an environment where students are excited about learning. It is especially important for students who are acquiring a second language. A new rug for students to sit on when we read, a computer desk, and a storage cart would make a huge difference in our classroom and student comfort.

What can you do? Your help will ensure that my students are in a comfortable, organized environment and able to open their minds to learning. Your help will ensure that students can sit a a desk to use the computer for language learning activities and that they will have a place to store their materials.
